Our Friend, and gifted musician, Mr. Joe DePietro
To All Our Friends and Family members...
As
most of you know by now, our good friend, outstanding musician, devoted
father, teacher, and choir director, Joe DePietro, has passed
away. After
a month or two battle with bacterial pneumonia, Joe was also
struck with congestive heart failure, and other complications. Joe passed away on March 14th, 2008.
The
band is attempting to move forward, so please bear with us as we
try to go on, as we all feel Joe would have wanted us to do...
God Bless.
Please Note: I am trying to keep Joe's Thunder Canyon Band web site as true to his style as possible. (Matt also requested this)
So I will try to get caught up with the song files, pictures, upcoming dates etc, as time goes on.
This web site is also a part of Joe's legacy, and we'd like to dedicate it to him.
Syracuse Symphony Honors Joe DePietro:Hi Folks.. A
very good, long time personal friend of mine went to hear Jazz
Greats Ronnie Leigh, and Nancy Kelly perform with the Syracuse
Symphony over this passed weekend, at The Civic Center, here in Syracuse, NY.. This is what his E-mail had to say, I just wanted to share it with you....
At 8:15 PM -0700 3/29/08, Carl wrote: At
the beginning of the program the Syracuse Symphony dedicated tonight's
performance to Joe and his family..A Music teacher who worked with Joe
gave a short speech about him...it was very moving....

GOD BLESS NASCAR AND COUNTRY MUSIC!
